Business people intending to travel to Australia to conduct business meetings or business investigations must apply for a business visa. The business visa allow you to travel to Australia to meet with associates, attend meetings and carry out various inspections and investigations. You can undertake limited classroom study on a business visa but restrictions apply.
In general you are not permitted to undertake any activity, whilst in Australia, that you receive renumeration for.
Depending on your age, length of stay and proposed activites, you will need to meet certainl health and character requirements.
There are two classes of business visas available:
Short Stay - for a maximum stay of three months Long Stay - for a stay of more than three months and less than four years. You can engage in paid employment in Australia while holding a long stay business visa.
You spouse and other family members can also accompany you on your business trip provided they apply for the appropriate visa. |
