The Australian Skilled Migration Visa
Applicants under this category do not need sponsorship from family, employers or the Australian government. They are assessed using a points system, with the current pass mark being 120 points. They must also satisfy other basic visa criteria relating to age, health and character. There are options available for applicants who do not score 120 points. In some instances, where a sponsor is required or would be beneficial to the application, we can help you arrange appropriate sponsorship.
Individuals who do not meet the 120 point pass mark still have several different options available to them. State Governments in Australia, in an effort to attract more skilled migrants, can offer to sponsor your application, in which case the pass mark is 100 points. Depending on your skills, we can arrange suitable sponsorship to facilitate your Australian migration.
Successful applicants will obtain Australian permanent residence, which will allow them to live and work in Australia without any restrictions. The permanent resident visa can be renewed or you can apply for Australian citizenship provided certain residency requirements are met.
Skilled Migration visas run on a points system. Part of the application process involves a skills test, language test and medical examination. We can provide advice and assistance in all areas of your application for skilled migration to Australia. Read our Frequently Asked Questions for more information.
