Same Sex Partners Print E-mail

Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA) registration no.: 1067354

While Australia does not currently recognise same sex marriages, same sex partners are permitted to apply for an Interdependent Visa.

An Interdependent Visa is assessed in much the same way as a Spouse Visa and considers the relationship under the requirements for a de-facto relationship.   The visa entitlements are also the same as the Spouse Visa.

Applicant's for Australian Skilled Migration are also permitted to include a same-sex partner as a spouse dependent. The dependent will receive the same permanent residency status and privileges as the main applicant for Australian Skilled Migration.
