A Medical Treatment (Short Stay) Visa is for people who are:

•    planning any medical treatment or consultations in Australia except surrogate motherhood
•    traveling to Australia to donate an organ
•    accompanying or providing support to the person needing treatment.

Entitlements: 

As a holder of a Medical Treatment (Short Stay) Visa you can:

•    visit Australia for a period of up to 3 months
•    study for up to three months.

Applicants must meet certain medical requirements before being granted their visa.
